We are proud to be involved in the recruitment for a usability research study on an On-Body Delivery System.
We are looking for people to take part in a research study on a wearable injection device, to be used for the treatment of post-surgery medical conditions. The aim of the study is to evaluate the product with a broad range of people, including healthcare professionals, caregivers and patients (people living with representative conditions). These include the following:
- People diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis
- People diagnosed and who are in remission for cancer (within the last 5 years)
- People who have a sensory deficit or dexterity difficulties due to a diagnosed illness or condition
- Caregivers of patients diagnosed with MS, Cancer or diabetes who care in a non-professional capacity i.e. at home.
- Nurses with insulin pump experience
- Nurses with pain management and/or post-surgical care experience with infusion pump experience (and/or PCA pumps)
The aim of the study is to gather valuable insights on the product, including opinions on the device, packaging and instructions for use, whilst it is still in the development phase. With this data the research team can identify any areas that require optimisation on the protype before proceeding with the next stage of development. The product, designed to automatically deliver medication, would usually contain a needle however as this is a usability study only the prototype will have this removed during the study.
There is a financial compensation fee of £120* available to anyone who attends the study (£180 for nurses). Payment of compensation fees are directly by bank transfer and include any time and travel costs incurred attending the study. This is a research exercise and there is absolutely no selling involved. Any views and opinions of participants will remain completely confidential.
